Restaurants --There are some fine restaurants in Sosua and they are quite reasonable.
One of my
favorites is The Waterfront,
which overlooks the cliff. It is good for lunch or dinner. ---- Menu
---Two favorites are the Blackened Grouper and the Sea Bass Meinure. It
is a close walk from the condo. |

La Roca
is located near the entrance to the beach and the food is always good.
it is the restaurant of choice for all of the ex pats that live in the
community. ![]() |
PJ's is open twenty-four hours a day and I like it for breakfast.
If you don't mind crossing the beach, I would highly recommend Chez Jaime. Take a sharp right after coming off the beach in Los Charamicos. The restaurant is about a block up the road and overlooks the bay. A lot of charm, great food.(The chef is Swiss)(no credit cards).
If you are in the mood for a drive into the mountains, ask Taxi Cuchi, or any taxi, to take you up the Cabarette-to- Mocha road to the top of the mountain for lunch at La Cumbre.
If you are in the mood for mexican and maybe a trip to Puerta Plata I would try Aguacerro. This is on the coast road on Malecon near Bomberos. Go for lunch and you can walk around Puerto Plata a bit. (Puerta Plata is not really a tourist town but some people like the local flavor.) It is about a 30 minute drive into Puerta Plata.
La Puntilla de Pier Giorgio is a short stroll from Blue Bayou, and is a dining experience unlike any other. Authentic Italian dishes are served at cliff side tables overlooking the bay. Its the best way to enjoy a Caribbean sunset. |
Cafe Cite is certainly one of the best known resturants on the north coast. Check out their web site. http://www.popreport.com/Cafe_Cito_Web_Page.htm Then plan to make a night of it.
